CEREBRAL PALSY FRAME FOOTBALL

No. of participants : 24 UniKL MIIT CSR 2 STUDENTS (13 Firewall group members & 11 volunteers), 20 CP CHILDREN
As per letter of invitation by GAPS, Firewall group which consists of 13 committee members and 11 students took up the challenge and volunteered on organizing a program entitled Cerebral Palsy Frame Football Training. All of them are students from Community Service 2 class. They volunteered to do the weekly training 3 times on April under National Paralympic Football, Coach Sunny Shalesh dated on 7th, 14th, 21st April 2018 (12.00 pm – 7.00 pm) at Forum 19 Sport Centre, Petaling Jaya. This program involves up to 20 children of Cerebral Palsy age from 4-year-old until 12-year-old.
This program is organized by UniKL MIIT in collaboration with GAPS and Pan-Disability Football Malaysia, sponsored by Lok’s Perfume. The main objective is to help disability children with rehabilitation through this activity and give awareness to student about these special children. We also want to create sense of belonging for these disability children toward community.
For UniKL MIIT student, we wanted to create awareness and enhance the knowledge about Cerebral Palsy to the community. This program is also to help CP children improves on their physical movements, self-care activities, speech, cognitive skills, and more through this rehabilitation activity. These activities are not just for rehabilitation but it is also to let them have fun by having them interacting with the community.
Through this activity, we hope community can learn and be aware of the special children needs for attention and extra care towards them.
